Our Lady of the Presentation Parish provides a variety of opportunities for adults to grow and learn more about their faith. We offer an extensive adult education program that includes scripture studies, Christ Renews His Parish, retreats, Parish Missions, New Evangelization, evenings of prayer, and a variety of one-time offerings. Adults who would like to be part of the Faith Formation team to help plan and provide support for adult faith events may contact Mary Pat Storms, Director of Adult Faith Formation, [email protected] or 251-1113.
Becoming Catholic: The journey to become Catholic includes preparing individuals for the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Communion and Confirmation. The journey includes several phases. Inquirers are those who are discerning whether they would like to make the Catholic faith their own. Meetings revolve around questions inquirers may have about the Catholic faith. Candidates (those baptized in another Christian tradition) and Catechumens (unbaptized people) make a formal commitment at the Rite of Welcome and Acceptance, ordinarily observed during Advent. Sponsors accompany the Candidates and Catechumens on their journey to joining the Church at the Easter Vigil. Adults inquiring about the Catholic faith, those wanting to learn more about being Catholic, interested in becoming Catholic, or serving as a sponsor may contact Mary Pat Storms in the Parish Office, 251-1113.
