Giving in Love
Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph
2024 Annual Catholic Appeal
Your Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) pledge is part of your personal commitment to Christian Stewardship, giving thanks to God by returning a portion of the blessings God has given to you.
The Bishop’s ACA supports education for seminarians, builds our faith communities through ministry, education and training at the parish level, offers hope to the grieving, lonely and elderly through Diocesan programs, supports education through Religious Education Ministries and our Catholic Schools and provides emergency assistance to those in need.
All registered parish families will receive a mailing to their home in the coming weeks. weeks. Prayerfully consider a pledge of 1% of your annual income to support the Diocesan Annual Catholic Appeal. We are grateful for your support!

Heavenly Father,
we thank you for calling us to serve as your Disciples.
May we respond to Your call through Your Son, Jesus Christ.
May our lives reflect your love and presence in our world.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we discern Your call to share our gifts.
Give us wisdom and understanding as we dedicate ourselves to the
spiritual renewal of our parish.
We entrust our parish family to the care of Mary, our mother.
We ask for her intercession and guidance as we strive to live a life of Discipleship
through our gifts of prayer, love for others and service to those in need.
Amen.
New Parishioner Welcoming Committee: Members of this committee visit the homes of new parishioners throughout the year as a gesture of welcome and hospitality. This is an opportunity to provide our new parishioners with information about our faith community and help them to feel connected. Volunteers in this ministry make one to two visits per month to welcome the newest members of our parish. The committee also hosts Welcome Weekends during the year to welcome new parishioners and acquaint them with parish ministries. The gatherings also provide an opportunity to meet the Pastor, parish staff and fellow new parishioners.
Parish Community Committee: Members on this committee organize and implement parish gatherings that foster a sense of parish community. The committee coordinates Women’s Retreats and other community events.
Parish Events Hospitality Committee: This committee supports the Talent & Tailgate parish-wide event and other parish gatherings as needed throughout the year. Events include: Confirmation Reception, CFF Back to School Night, Nametag Sunday, Mission & Outreach Efforts and more. This is a fun way to get to know other members of our parish through your support of parish events which foster community and fellowship. Members of this committee do not meet monthly but are contacted, as needed, to plan and coordinate events.
Stewardship Committee: The Stewardship Committee supports stewardship as a way of life by fostering an awareness of God’s call to share our gifts. Members support the Annual Stewardship Renewal of time, talent and treasure, host Celebrating Stewardship Weekends, New Parishioner Welcome Weekends, Nametag Sunday, the Annual Leadership Dinner and a wide variety of other parish community events. Members also foster community by reaching out and inviting parishioners to share their gifts with our faith community and by being a welcoming presence at parish-wide events.
